Hope in the Valley Equine Rescue & Sanctuary, Inc.

is a non-profit, tax exempt 501(c)3 corporation. It was founded by Ande Miller in an effort to rescue and rehabilitate horses in Sedgwick County, KS and surrounding communities. The rescue has been developed to provide care for horses that have been abused, neglected, abandoned, unwanted or are slaughter bound. Our hope is that they someday will be able to go to permanent, loving homes.

Hope in the Valley operates totally on tax-deductible contributions.

Our goal for each horse is to heal them physically and emotionally. We do have some permanent equine but really aim to adopt out as many as possible.

We are run 100% by volunteers. If you are interested in volunteering, please email us.

If you are interested in helping us with a tax-deductible donation of money or items, please visit our "Angels Among Us" page to see what we need most at this time.

Our mission is simple - to give them a better life.

Jim was the inspiration for our rescue. Ande saved him from certain death, and brought hope into his life that day. You can read more about him on the "Jim of Hope" page, and in our "Have You 'Herd'?" section.
