Jazz :: Horse of the Month

This is Jazz.

Jazz was abandoned and came to our rescue some time in November 2011. She is a sorrel Quarter Horse, 15.1 hands high and weighed 1053 lbs when she came to us.

She had been left with a halter on her head that was too small. As a result, it started growing into the skin on her face.

It is healing very well. She's got some ugly scars, but they may grow fainter in time.

Jazz is about 15 years old and broke to ride. She is a little shy of folks at first but will warm up to you if you are patient and go slow.

One of our volunteers, Ray, has been spending time on her and says she rides just fine.
